It’s Halloween night! Every junk food addict’s favourite time of year 😀
This year, I decided to hand out healthy treats – homemade popcorn. My friends and family always ask me to make this popcorn whenever I host gatherings. It’s so addictive! And it is quite healthy, too. Here’s the recipe, below:
The Best Ever Homemade (Vegan) Popcorn
- air-popped organic popcorn
- extra light-tasting olive oil
- himalayan pink salt
- Air-pop a big bowl of popcorn.
- Add the olive oil, one over-flowing Tbsp at a time. 🙂 Make sure to pour the spoonfuls of olive oil all over the popcorn – not just in one spot.
- Mix REALLY well.
- Mix, mix, mix, mix, mix….
- Add the himalayan salt, to taste.
- Mix, mix, mix, mix, mix….
- You’re done!
Happy Halloween, everyone!
My Spirit Guide, Charlotte, told me that until further notice, Glendor – my Dragon Guide – is going to be the one delivering the monthly messages. Hope the rest of you are enjoying him as much as I am 😀
This month, wee ones, I want you to consider all things false. They are not yours to keep and want for, still. Throw these things away fast – like lightning in a storm – and hurry to the ones who keep your favour, still.
Be kind to those who matter. They are your handlers, your brothers, your sisters, your fathers, your mothers. They are the ones who keep want of you in times of need, of distress. They are your chosen few, the ones who desire your keeping in times of night and dark. The ones who keep you, still, after all you have been through.
Look to them now, in your time of delight, of conquest, for direction and afterthought. Be they mighty or green, they will want what is best for you in all your endeavours. Keep to them your pride, your anguish, your terrible regrets. Sing to them of your praises, your diamonds, your charitable works. Know no demons; let troubles pass you by. It is a dying grace to be with the splendour of elders.
Keep want in your heart of these things and let time sing your praises. This is all I want for you. Let it matter.
~ Glendor ~
Thank you, Glendor!
As many of you know, I left my well-paying, full time day job back at the beginning of June so that I could spend more time on my business working with animals. Here in the Western Hemisphere, the more dollars you have, the more you are. Well, I for one want to amount to more than a bank account – no matter how much money is in it. I started my own business so I could do something gratifying and soul-fulfilling with my time and my energy. However, sometimes it’s really easy to get sucked back into that Western-hemisphere mentality that money is everything. As some members of my extended family might voice it: “Oh yeah it’s nice to do something that makes you happy… But you have to make money.”
The entrepreneurial journey has not always been easy, but it’s also never been boring. Which is more than I can say about some of the mainstream positions I’ve occupied in the past. This month, I’m feeling especially grateful to those friends, family and teachers – like Roxana Roshon, Atherton Drenth, Dee Hughes, my parents, grandparents and countless others – who have supported me on this path to becoming a healer, a teacher and a businesswoman. I’m thankful for their encouragement, their lessons, and their patience as I continue to learn how to navigate the waters of self-employment.
I’m forever grateful to all of my human clients – my wonderful, loving, curious and oh-so-wise human clients – for all of their support, questions, suggestions and referrals over the past several years. I couldn’t have made it this far without you guys!
Last, but certainly not least, I’m thankful for my animal friends – new and old, both in- and out-of-body – who continue to demonstrate that the most important thing to do in this life is live it with joy. Even if all we have is a cardboard box or a dirty kleenex.
Here’s to building castles in the sky.
Happy Thanksgiving and Halloween, Everyone!!!
